As space exploration progresses, and space tourism becomes a reality, Elon Musk purposes to take things a step further and colonize Mars.

In 2021, the Virgin Galactic, a space tourism company, launched Richard Branson, the founder, and five crewmembers into space for a brief run, Later, Branson expressed his hope for the continuation of space tourism. Shortly afterwards, Jeff Bezos, founder of Amazon, and his team on the Blue Virgin also launched into space. Thus began the age of space tourism.

Elon Musk of SpaceX wants to do much more than flying tourist, he wants to build a sustainable colony on Mars for humans to live.

It was scientist Stephen Hawkins (1942-2018) suggested that humans seek to inhabit another planet for our own good. (Kharpal,2017) According to him conditions on Earth would worsen due to several factors.

Now one multibillionaire, the richest man in the world, Elon Musk aims to start a colony on Mars. However, Mars has it challenges. First of all, it is so far away that scientists are not able to accurately its distance from Earth nor the amount of time it would take to arrive there. Furthermore, there is not liquid water on Mars and the air is inadequate for humans to breathe.
